The construction of the course, designed by John Harris, began in 1963 and the Punta Rotja Golf Club was inaugurated in 1965. However, the development company went bankrupt and was dissolved, threatening the continuity of the club.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4065baf e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"4065baf\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2bc6258 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"2bc6258\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"878\" height=\"722\" src=\"https:\/\/golfsonservera.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Golf_Son_Servera_Historia_Club.webp\" class=\"attachment-full size-full wp-image-1231\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/golfsonservera.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Golf_Son_Servera_Historia_Club.webp 878w, https:\/\/golfsonservera.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Golf_Son_Servera_Historia_Club-600x493.webp 600w, https:\/\/golfsonservera.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Golf_Son_Servera_Historia_Club-768x632.webp 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 878px) 100vw, 878px\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0fe8c17 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0fe8c17\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\">Despite the difficulties, some members that were living on the Costa de los Pinos, such as Bernard. H. Eversmeyer, Antoni Llad\u00f3 and Frederico Knuchel, took the initiative to keep the club going. They recruited new members and signed a lease on the course with the Servera family. These members had a clear vision of the potential of golf in Mallorca and decided to create a social club, which would be the future of the Son Servera Golf Club.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5d674ae elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5d674ae\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The first years were difficult, and the club had to apply for a loan from the Consejo Superior de Deportes to complete the construction of the course. The financial stability of the club was maintained through membership fees and donations. The provisional headquarters were set up in a member's house, but in 1982 the current headquarters were built, designed by the architect Sebasti\u00e1n Moreno. The purchase of the land was financed by the club's reserves and members' contributions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ae22618 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ae22618\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\"Our little piece of heaven<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7a1318c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7a1318c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Gradually, the Club began to act as a catalyst for the social life of the area and was characterised by a \u201cfriendly family atmosphere\u201d, which the American Bernard H. Eversmayer, who was President of our Club, described as \u201cour little piece of heaven\u201d.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0521426 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"0521426\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f974bc4 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f974bc4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Costa de los Pinos became a nucleus of Spanish and foreign families with high purchasing power. The members are of different nationalities, mainly English, Dutch, Belgian, French, and German.
